Well if you go and watch the tracks during the day most weekdays you probably won't have to wait long to see one or more... as recently they've been having 3 out testing at a time. But lately they haven't really been going any further south than Cameron crossover. I guess there's been more trackwork that needed to be done over there? Unsure how much longer that'll be
Ugh .They need to detour the route past my work so I can see!!
My wife came home the other day and said "I went for a walk in Waterloo park today and saw a train pass and I didn't care one bit"
We haven't spoken since

Lol.
Honestly though, while I am excited for the train, and usually grab a picture every day I see it. I cannot wait for the time when it is a mundane part of our transportation infrastructure.
This is always noted about the Netherlands and cycling. Their infrastructure isn't amazing or surprising or exciting, it's boring and mundane, which is what makes it so amazing.
I’m the opposite, and a minority, I guess - I dread when this is all over. I’m loving every minute of this and the last few years have been some of the best of my life.
They’re not testing South of Cameron because the crossings at Mill/Ottawa and Hayward still aren’t integrated properly to the freight line, from the rumblings I hear. They can’t go there unless with a police escort.
But hey, what do I know? According to regional staff today at the tour of the grade sep, the delay is 100% Bombardier’s fault!

And when they come with such frequency, it's just not a big deal

There's always phase 2 right?Â

Phase 2 would have happened by now if not for Bombardier’s delays.

Somebody needs to quit and get a job in the White House. Their talents are wasted here. Blaming the vehicle manufacturer for problems related to the railway crossing signals takes some chutzpah.
Post of the year.
...it’s not that the LRV’s don’t set them off, it’s (from what I’ve heard) that the freight operator (I always get CN and CP mixed up) is dragging their feet on doing their part of the integration of the crossing signals.
