Yes, true, but where does one find reasonably priced (to a degree) food of any sort? Believe me, I am not a fan of American food, but some places are better than others. When it comes to chicken, not a lot of great providers (McDonalds/BK is just nasty, A&W, Harveys's is OK at best, Mary Browns, KFC, Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A round it out). There are other places too, my favourite is still Swiss Chalet, but quality isn't where it used to be. State&Main has great chicken tenders if that's what you're looking for. I find a lot of other places just can't do chicken right at all. Best chicken I had was still at the Rib&Beer Fest at Victoria Park. Damn, that stuff was great, but pocketbook isn't safe.

At a reasonable price, in DTK? Sahar's Kitchen (Indian), Rainbow Caribbean (Jamaican), Crafty Ramen (Japanese-ish), multiple Salvadoran and Vietnamese places, burrito and shawarma shops. Notably these are all some type of ethnic food, I don't have any good suggestions for "just chicken". Smile

yum Rainbow Carribean.

I think that Hasty Market has fried chicken but I'm not sure I would enjoy it. I do enjoy other foods from there though!

Presumably Hasty Market at Joseph and Ontario?

For fried Chicken my fav is Grand Trunk Saloon, but sadly their hours aren't great, and it's not exactly a quick meal. I'm sure there are others though.
What are the prepared food offerings looking like at Marche Leo’s?

Yes, that Hasty Market. I do like Grand Trunk Saloon but it is not fast indeed.

Rainbow has fantastic if you're in the mode for jerk. Did some BBQ's yesterday and we had jerk drumsticks and ribs. Got the jerk sauce in my eye, so thank god for the place having a pool. I want to try Crafty Ramen.

OK, I forgot about Grand Trunk Saloon, but they do have fantastic chicken. Not pocketbook easy, but very good food.

We got to Hasty a lot for their gyro's....

Apparently Full Circle is moving to 16 King St E.

Yes. This is the former convenience store space. Renovations are in well under way.

It looks substantially smaller than their current space, but will definitely have much more foot traffic. Presumably they have determined that it's got enough space for the things that they sell a lot of (or at a decent margin) and that this will be good for business.

That's a shame IMO. I much prefer the current location.

There are pros and cons to both, the new location will get significantly more foot traffic. I heard that they also bought the building, so there is some stability there (the other block they are in has redeveloped almost every other building).
Full Circle bought the whole new building? The American Block?

Or the American Block is now a commercial condo building and they bought one of the units? Or something else?
The building was long ago divided into separate freeholds, no?

The American Block is only the stretch along Queen St. Although the convenience store/Full Circle building looks like the same building, it's actually just a similarly styled facade.
