Eat? No.
Sell? I expect yes, if it's in the Danger Zone:

Fridge-temperature pizza is quite legal. Smile

I made a rare trip today to the Greenbrook Plaza in Forest Hill and was reminded by their sign that I have never tried the neighbourhood restaurant "A Dish Called Wanda". Like the name, but wonder if the food is any good? Anybody tried it?
There is a temporary sign up at the former "Hive" (King E at Scott) for "Mercato" - a bar, restaurant, food market.  Sounds promising.  No indication yet of when it will open.
Will it be the same as Mercatto at Eaton Centre?

I wondered about that, but I think the sign said "Mercato" with one "t".

It's definitely "Mercato" with a single "t".  Today they were painting the upper half of the exterior what I would describe as battleship grey.  Since the lower half that was refinished last year is a sort of pale terra cotta, with almost-orange accents, the effect today was unsightly.  I will be hoping, hoping that the lower half and detailing is going to be painted dark grey, otherwise ......
Primer?

I pray that's the case.  At the moment it looks awful and my eyes are getting tired of "Kitchener fails".
It might not be terrible if the lower half and faux columns were painted in a darker grey for contrast.
Or they used the wrong paint colour and they'll need to redo it. Happened at Arrow Lofts just a few months ago ...

Well, they at least got the upper half right, by painting the window trim/faux pillars black.  It's still a pretty weird look, with the striped terra cotta colour on the bottom.

Mercato opened on Thursday.  I think they will need a few weeks to be really up and running.  It seems to be a bar more than anything else.  The space is decent.  There is a cafeteria style food service area to one side, but it's not clear to me if this is how the food side of things will work or whether they will have table service.  The menu (so far?) is quite limited.  I don't see it being a high-end or craft beer type place, but time will tell.
Not everyone wants a craft beer place, so it could still work. Let's hope they know their (potential) customers and are successful there.
Mambella's Columbia Street:

Not sure what the deal is here. I have read good things about it. My wife and I went last week to try it out. They were out of everything. At 2 PM on a Monday, there was nothing to make sandwiches, no coffee etc. It seemed really weird.

I was by the location yesterday and the sign is gone. Their Twitter account seems to be active.

Are my observations merely coincidental and it is usual for them to run out of everything or is something going on here?
Alright 2 items.

I have been past Mambella's again on Columbia and they have a new sign. I am going with coincidence. Mambella's lives.

Second, Benny's. There are now signs out front advertising a fall opening for Mother's Pizza. Should be interesting.
That should be a very busy Mother's.

I went to Raja in Belmont Village for dinner tonight and I must say it was very, very good.
