Rumour is that once TD moves out of the mall and down to Fairway and Manitou, Starbuck's will be taking at least some of their space with a patio outside.

I was in the new Starbucks on Fairway and it is one of the best I have visited for space and layout with customers as the key. Large tables, window seats and, lounge like chairs and 2-4 seat tables.

With this rumoured Starbucks only 2-3 blocks away I am not sure Kitchener could/would  support two Starbucks almost co-located.

If you have not yet been to the 'new' Starbucks drop in. I really liked it.

I heard this too.  Will be a smaller location than Fairway road.

In other Fairway Rd. news, Marshall's had its grand opening today.  It is in the former Winner's spot.

A Starbucks at the mall would no doubt be a better location than in a plaza on a busy road.

Like the Westmount/Fisher Hallman and Sunrise Centre locations? Smile [But still ZERO north of the Expressway....]

Here are some pictures of Tepperman's.  When they were building it I thought it was going to be a strip mall and I thought that Tepperman's would be small, for a furniture store.  It still feels like a strip mall but all of it is Tepperman's.   It's an interesting concept.

Maybe they wanted it to be easily convertible if the business doesn't work out.
The space at the Kitchener Market formerly occupied by The District Gallery is to become a " 123 Dollar " dollar store. Interesting choice of location for a new retail outlet, but I guess folks can't get enough dollar stores these days.

I'd heard that they were finally relaxing the narrow variety of potential tenants. If a Dollar Store now applies, then that's quite relaxed.

I much prefer a Dollar Store to a vacancy.

There was a Starbucks kiosk at the mall back when they first expanded into Canada.
I've just been thinking on Forest Glen Plaza - GRT wil be removing its terminal by 2018 and the former Coffee Time has still not found a new tenant. Might that corner of the property get reworked into something new? There's certainly potential.
Highland Hills Terminal.

What has happened to the buses going into the terminal at that location? The last time I went by, I noticed that there was only one bus stop sign in the terminal.
Most buses stopped using the Highland Hills terminal last year with the redesign of many routes in the area. Not sure what the plan with route 22 (only bus left using it) is.

Correct, the 22 still terminates there for now but all other routes use the streets.

The 22 is due to be reworked in 2018 when Ion launches, and that terminal will become surplus as well.
