It is indeed. For the life of me, I don't know why some people are so insistent on spreading misinformation about the conditions in the park--it even goes as far as some of our current ward candidates.

I love Victoria Park, but what "misinformation"?

According to some, the pathways are paved in used needles.
I exaggerate for effect, but dead serious when I say I have never once seen a used needle in the park, and I'm not entirely unobservant.
So there's clearly a disconnect. Needles are not everywhere in the park, or even most places, or prevalent. Yet some routinely state that there are needles everywhere and to quote a Ward 9 Candidate "you cannot go to the park without seeing needles".

I also haven't seen one, and I'm there almost every day. Admittedly I haven't looked for one near the public washrooms, but for sure they are not everywhere.
I don't think my preferred candidate would say that ...

I used to live at Queen and Courtland, I spent a ton of time in the park. There were no needles.
Also, great shots of city hall!

There's also a certain person that plants needles then blames it on drug users.

If that is real information, I trust the police are aware.

I was in the men's washroom yesterday and noticed a "Sharps" disposal box on the wall. But I didn't see any needles and felt perfectly safe walking all around the park. We are so fortunate to have this beautiful park in the heart of the city.

But those disposal boxes are in most public bathrooms I think. People other than drug users use needles.

You are correct.

Indeed, they are at the washrooms in my workplace for diabetics, etc.
