Langdon Hall’s furry crew will welcome guests to new addition in Cambridge

Beaton and her architect husband Bill Bennett had a huge laugh.


Life is good for a shaggy dog at Langdon Hall, the country manor hotel on the edge of Blair in an expanded mansion originally built by the famous Astor family of New York City at the turn of the 20th century.


Beaton and Bennett, an east coast girl and a northern Ontario boy from Atikokan, bought this place in 1987. The opened their high-class, award-winning hotel two years later.


Now, with their six grown children scattered across the globe "like confetti," they're expanding Langdon Hall with a new $7-million wing overlooking the Victorian gardens.
