Good to see. It suits DTK.
Maybe I just didn’t see it before but there is a SOLD over the For Sale sign on the vacant lot at the corner of Weber (north side) and Scott.  Anyone else notice this before?
That looks fantastic!

Yes. I noticed it a couple of months ago.
This morning I saw a sign by the Activa Group for a condo development on Margaret Avenue just west of Queen Street.  This project was announced years ago (or was it decades?) so hopefully something will happen at this site.  Activa's website, http://www.activagroup.ca/node/441, has very limited information on this project.

Wow, I didn't know that was coming.

I've always liked the design of that building.
Has there been any information about what the renovations entail? That building has had a muddled history, but the exterior is still quite nice.

I agree. I can see they are doing interior renos on the upper floors, but I don't see any indication of changes on the ground floor. And I can't make any sense out of the building permits in the OnPoint database for this one.

I thought the former KW Labour Association building was haunted.

By my count, there are currently five old buildings in DTK undergoing renovation, mostly for new office space (former Budd's, former Legion, American Block, K-W Labour Assoc., and 87 King W. I wonder if that might not be an all-time record for simultaneous renos downtown?

Didn't this undergo renovations about 5 years ago?

Quote:A Wineology wine bar will take over the 3,600 square feet on the main floor. The two upper floors will be brick-and-beam office space that is popular with tech firms. The interior will be stripped to the brick walls before new electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning are installed.
That sounds amazing!!

I think people saw an opportunity that this was an up and coming hot spot and jumped all over it.  As they should.
