Faculty and staff have started to move into the new building. There will be classes starting in September. The building will definitely not be completely finished this September. Work will continue until 2017.
All in all, I think this is the greatest development on University Ave so far.

It's got a wonderfully wide sidewalk, it addresses the street, there are generous overhangs for protection from the elements, it's nicely massed, and even has some unique architectural features.

Now to rebuild everything else.

Missing: Pedestrian overpass connecting to the Concourse (activity hub of Laurier).
They can add that when they redevelop that terrible parking lot that's fronting University.

Holy moly!

That puts every atrium going into every new build on UW campus to shame.
WOW. Very big, very bright.
I hadn't seen the backside of this one until today!

It's a shame that whenever they build university buildings these days, they forget that sometimes people want to go around them.

Anyone go to school here that could snap a few shots of this now that it's done?
I got pictures at last year's Doors Open. I'll see if I can dig them up.
That would be awesome. I was just looking at a few old renders and really wanted to see how it turned out
Here they are in an Imgur album: https://imgur.com/a/C04lRJv
Fantastic, thanks!
