I think that's quite all right. With 26 (and soon 27) cafes in DTK, it makes sense that some of them will look beyond coffee (and pastries) for some differentiation.

I mean more so with regards to the design of the interior

Starbucks construction appears to be well underway, and a big May 2019 sign is up.

I really hope they don't put a drop ceiling in, even if it means exposed duct work.

I agree however, I don't like the height of the framing so far. Kind of looks indicative too a lower ceiling height.

RE: General Retail News - danbrotherston - 04-04-2019

The framing of the far back wall appears to be full height.

RE: General Retail News - Spokes - 04-04-2019

The framing towards the back looks like it goes all the way up. On the right, not so much, but who knows what that's for.

I can think of a number of Starbucks locations with exposed duct work, so I don't think that'd be an obstacle.

Framing is no indicator of ceiling height. The exposed vents are very high up.

Construction fencing is up for phase 2 of the Lackner Shopping Centre project.

Are all employees from the other location just relocating?

As far as I know, yes, based on talking to them.

I don't think I've seen it announced here yet, but apparently Tesla is opening a dealership at the old Saab location off Victoria. Someone posted a picture of the sign a few days ago.
