RE: 357 King St East - Memph - 10-30-2016 Still, it seems surprising that it's worthwhile to demolish a building only to build a new one that's the same size. RE: 357 King St East - tomh009 - 11-01-2016 My recollection is that it was already Metro Karges Appliances in the later 1970s, but then my memory isn't anything to write home about! I haven't been by here in a couple of months; I used to bike by it almost every day in the summer. I had no idea that whole building had been demolished! I'll have to detour out this way tomorrow on my way to work and have a look. When's this one scheduled to wrap up? RE: 357 King St East - kitborn - 01-16-2017 Is this the site at King and Cedar where they kept the basement of the original building? RE: 357 King St East - jamincan - 02-08-2017 This is at King and Cedar right across from Nova Era bakery. I shudder at what living near that place would do to my waist line. Update from today: RE: 357 King St East - jgsz - 02-08-2017 I was expecting something much larger for that spot. Totally underwhelmed. Is this a possibility? garth RE: 357 King St East - tomh009 - 02-08-2017 I think in that scenario they would have used the existing building rather than reconstructing it.
