Also furniture and many other items like radios, motors, etc.

Another former manufacturer of (then) "high tech" stuff was Marsland Engineering at Weber and Columbia.

Meanwhile in today's G&M: Waterloo startup to software leader, Open Text pins future on digitization
Quote:With a market capitalization of about $6-billion, Open Text is one of Canada’s most valuable software firms. RIMOWA, in Cambridge, manufactures high-end aluminium and polycarbonate luggage and accessories.  Its parent company is German but I believe that the Cambridge plant is the only luggage maker left in North America.  The best place to see their products is at their flagship store on Bloor St. W in Toronto.

Does Kodiak have a shop at the factory?  Once upon a time, most of the clothing/footwear places in town had an outlet where you could buy seconds at a discount, but that seems to have pretty much disappeared.

Yes they do, but it's not a discount store, its a full priced retail.  It's a "Work Authority" store, and the prices are the same at all of them.  It (and the plant) are at 415 Thompson Drive, Cambridge.

I have two wing chairs in my living room manufactured by SB Leather... no complaints and always nice to support a local company.
