More specifically, the Kitchener plant produces rubber compounds. (Not any end products locally.)

While everyone always thinks of ATS and Clearpath Robotics when they think of Automation and Robots in the Region, but the density of automation companies here is probably higher than anywhere else in North America, if not the world. I'm very proud to work for one of them!

It was reported yesterday that Gallant Custom Laboratories of Cambridge was acquired by a German company.  Gallant makes veterinary vaccines.

Looks like a stable owner for Gallant.  Still family-owned after 94 years, 1500 employees and with operations in half a dozen countries.  Seems like Mittelstand at its best, long-term focus and no pressure for quarterly results.

Diono the child car seat manufacturer is in Waterloo. I just learned about this when my wife called their customer support line regarding a seat install. They invited us to their factory for assistance if things still weren't working out. They are located at 50 Northland Road in Waterloo.
