"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

I think this calls for a road trip to Kingston! Wink

Absolutely!  Just waiting for confirmation that the first train has left Thunder Bay. Smile  My folks live not far from there, so whenever I go visit them, I stop by and see if I can catch any activity.  There are a couple of great viewing spots at the end of the MOVIA High-Speed test track, as well as the end of the Monorail track and you can see the entire ICTS loop as well.  The new addition is on the West side of the main building for the ICTS loop.

I've been looking for an excuse to buy a 600... and a drone... Wink

Here's a quick diagram I threw together (Sorry Markster - I can hear you cringing at my lack of internet graphic skills!) of the various test tracks at Bombardier's Millhaven facility:

The new hall for FLEXITY Freedom production is being built just to the left (West) of the "Fork" sticking up in blue (the existing ICTS building and switches/yard track).

Wait..so they still have to finish building a bigger factory before they can ramp up production? Why didn't Bombardier foresee the need for this expansion years ago and have it up and running already? The original MetroLinx contract was awarded in 2010...2017 is around the corner I think it's almost time for another delay announcement. Way too many excuses for this company.
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.

I don't think I'm usually one to throw judgement around re: graphic skills? Have you seen the Highways thread?

I was attempting at complimenting you on your typically perfect diagrams - and acknowledging that mine was awful by comparison. Did not mean to imply you throw judgement, sorry.

Just a little note; the Mill/Ottawa intersection is partially open. One can still turn left from Ottawa onto Mill heading north for now so that's kind of convenient. It looks so much different here now!

As for that new Bombardier building, I sure hope they aren't building any of our LRVs there!

I kinda want them under construction now, not in a year!

They are. The first few will come from Thunder Bay, with the remainder coming from Millhaven.

Erb/Caroline opens today!

The only hitch is that you can't go onto Caroline if you're coming from Erb or Bridgeport; the lane there closest to the tracks, between Erb and FDB, will still be closed while they work on the track there. Detour is Erb to FDB to Caroline.

But will our LRVs be coming from the new building, or does the new building perhaps let them focus the old building on our products, while having the new building pick up any compression in the Crosstown schedule created in doing so?
