Cedar Hill and Schneider Creek Secondary Plan
#1
Not sure where to put this entirely but I think it's pretty valuable to see how PARTS, REINS and other plans are coming down to the Neighbourhood zoning.

Here is the proposed plan for Cedar Hill: https://www.kitchener.ca/en/resourcesGen...andUse.pdf

You can also find all of the other associated documents on the City of Kitchener's development website: https://www.kitchener.ca/en/planning-and...tions.aspx

I was going to post that as well, but couldn't decide where to put it. I was struck by the towers at Courtland/Benton and up Benton across from Arrow lofts. I assume that's all conceptual rather than something that's actually in the works?

I believe all conceptual for the longer term. Land is vacant (and for sale) or actively used for other uses (retail, townhouses, professional, medical).

Still "for sale" at $5M or whatever it was?

According to my sources, yes, at some wholly unrealistic price. Mind you, the new zoning will somewhat mitigate the asking price.

Yes, the designs are all conceptual but like the new DTK Condos if the zoning is available many developers will use it. So over the long term it is extremely viable.

There are some many things the city wants to see done, that's just the surface. Of course, what they want, and what they'll get, might be a lot different.
