ION - Waterloo Region's Light Rail Transit
Quote:Charles and Gaukel, in Kitchener will be extended until approximately Wednesday June 17. An undisclosed hydro duct substructure (concrete structure) was discovered late last week. Due to the weather conditions on Friday and Saturday we were not able to evaluate the condition of the structure until Monday. After assessing the structure, resequencing our work to bring in additional equipment to break through the concrete and ensuring the live hydro duct is adequately supported, we require additional time to complete the work in the intersection.
