General Food, Dining and Nightlife News
(05-04-2016, 08:41 AM)panamaniac Wrote: So the Record reports that Region public health officials laid 24 charges at restaurants last year, served 11 closure orders, and seized food unfit for consumption 99 times.  Wonder which restaurants?  Well good luck with that because none of them are named in the article.  A link is provided to the Region's on-line disclosure site, but unless you are willing to work your way through a VERY long list of operations, you are unlikely to be any better informed.  How difficult would it be for the Region to have a website that would allow searches by type of infraction?

Feeling surly this morning, I am tempted to ask how many of the affected restaurants advertise in the Record?

I know one of the closed restaurants was formerly known as China Fried Rice at 265 King St E in Kitchener. We used to go there and then found a "closed by public health" sign on the door. Oops.
