Virtek Vision is the market leader in laser projection and quality inspection solutions that support manufacturers around the world in a variety of specialized industries to assist with assembly processes.

Wow, there's a blast from the past!  I first heard about Virtek about 15 years ago.  The CFO at the company I worked at had come from there.  At the time, it was pretty amazing what they were doing.

Their machines (back then - don't know about now) looked like gigantic overhead projects from the 70's and 80's (ie, my rural school in the 90's Smile).  You'd put your laser-cut stamped metal parts on the glass bed, and a laser beam would come out of the "head" above, which was a mirror (IIRC) on a two-axis setup and it would trace the part.  Then you'd get a very accurate DXF file out of whatever it was you scanned.
