They'd better watch out. CRRC (China) is already doing vehicles for Boston, Chicago, LA and Philladelphia - Bombardier lost those bids. All of that is new in the past couple of years. They have made huge inroads in North America.

Yes, I meant CRRC. They are new here, so yes, its a huge unknown, and risk. The four agencies I mentioned going with them shows how dire the situation is with NA manufacturers - that they are willing to take that risk.

So Metrolinx finally "Flexity-ized" the look of their Alstom CITADIS Spirit LRV's they've been flaunting:

I'm also somewhat interested to see that they've realized the solid black band along the windows looks good - something Ottawa didn't.

We saw the first train with two vehicles aboard leave TB, so that's a good sign.
