Quote:"The building was built as Brox’s Olde Town Village and many moons ago was a popular tourist destination, with busloads of tourists coming to shop and eat at the restaurant."

I wonder how long ago this was the case.  Did the rise of St. Jacobs largely eclipse organized tourist outings to Elmira?

When I was a teen in the early 80's, it was a popular spot with a very busy restaurant. Many a teen (girls in particular) either worked at Brox's or The Stone Crock when it was also in Elmira.

It looks like the renovation of the Shoppes is nearly complete. Just a cherry picker and one small section is still fenced off.

The Total Health pharmacy has moved to the front of the building, but no signs of any other incoming tenants.

The building appears to be both for lease and for sale. Seems like it took a very long time for this renovation.
