Kitchener Public Library launched a fun new service yesterday! May We Suggest is a portal that connects readers with a staff member who provides a personalized list of suggestions – books, movies, music, recipes…whatever! Just fill out a form and you’re good to go.

From the site: “Are you looking for something new to read, watch, or listen to, but can’t decide? Ask us! Just like you, our staff have unique interests. Click on each image to decide whose interests are similar to yours, and they’ll create a personalized suggestion list for you.

Follow @KPLMayWeSuggest for additional reading, watching, and listening suggestions.”

Speaking of the Library, the Hacienda Café seems to be doing decent business.

When? Saturday, February 13th @ 2-4pm

Let's be friends! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner…what’s a better way to celebrate love than by making new friends? Whether you’ve just left the university bubble, or recently moved to Kitchener, it can be hard to meet new people.

This low-key networking event will be a fun way to form new platonic connections with other local 20/30s. Stick around after to make some cute cards. You are welcome to come alone or in a group.

Registration Required on the library website here.

The link is now returning an error on their site but I found this one https://www.kpl.org/your-library/locatio...st-library

Not KPL related but library related.

They are upgrading the Waterloo Region library in Breslau to a full service branch.
