This was mentioned earlier already, the land is between Georgetown and the 407. It will include the widening of multiple bridges, a rail over rail flyover and twin track in many places (quad in total). Some places aren't possible to have quad so there will be triple.
Design work is well underway for it, its been happening for over a year at this point. It's just public now.

Over 10 years from the start of construction ... that is a very long time for 28 km of track.

Well, Eglinton may not be opening, but Finch West (Line 6) is nearly ready to go: https://news.ontario.ca/en/release/1006632/ontario-completes-final-testing-on-finch-west-lrt
And the province has decided to go ahead with some Eglinton elements that don't need the line working - relevant to this discussion...

There's already Weston, which is closer to Pearson than Mount Dennis. The trains that are express Bramlea-Union skip Weston, but AFAIK they're expected to skip Mount Dennis too.

Is GO parking free anywhere else?
GO's entire model is huge free parking lots and garages. I believe every GO station except Kitchener, Hamilton Centre, and Union have free parking spots. Even relatively urban ones like Mimico have free parking.
Kitchener GO will never have large amounts of free parking, land in DTK is too expensive, but Breslau GO will absolutely have a massive free parking lot.

Previously announced Go service improvements have been confirmed
There were rumours about the timing of the new weekend service, and it turns out they were correct: weekend departures eastbound from Kitchener at 7:49am and 3:49pm, and westbound departures from Union Station to Kitchener at 4:48pm and 10:48pm.

I believe the initial schedule was 2 trains to Toronto in the morning, 2 back to Kitchener in the evening, Monday to Friday. Pitiful, right? Yet now we are, if I’m reading the schedule correctly, up to 10 trains each way weekdays, and soon to 2 each way on the weekend.
