This site is well under construction currently, the smallest building on the site (Building 2 (60,224 sqft)) is well on its way to completion with occupancy expected soon, the largest of the buildings (Building 1 (509,079sqft)) has the vast majority of the steel shell built, all that remains to be completed is a small corner of the building, they also have about 2/3 of the roof complete and they have started to put some brackets in place for the precast concrete wall panels which should start being installed in the next month or two. The last building (Building 3 (148,886 sqft)) on the property that Perimeter owns has foundation work started. There is also activity on the rest of the property that isn't owned by Perimeter, the building that will be the new home of Answer Precision Technologies looks to be mostly complete and there is another building fronting Homer Watson that looks to be about half done. There doesn't seem to be much activity on the back half of the property next to the CN tracks where Krug Furniture is going other than staging for the rest of the site.

I've been somewhat skeptical that the two buildings that were not demolished would ever be viable for re-use. It seems more likely any company would rather just start fresh to ensure the space works for their needs.

Mostly warehouses are just big boxes so pretty easy to repurpose.

All three of the buildings by Perimeter seem to be mostly complete from my drive by today, the smallest of the buildings (building 2 on the site plan) is occupied at least partially by Sleep Country. The largest of the buildings appears to be mostly complete, the exterior just needs a few more pieces of cladding and then the parking lot. The building closest to Budd Park also appears to be mostly complete, it is still missing the glass and cladding but the precast concrete panels and structure is entirely complete.
On the back half of the site where Krug Furniture is going there has been some activity recently, they have taken part of the exterior cladding down on one of the existing warehouses and there has been an excavator working on the site recently. I talked to someone who works at Krug recently and it sounds as if they are only using the property as warehousing for now so it appears that they are not consolidating facilities.
The space where the medical offices are going hasn't had any activity in months, all they have done is put the precast wall panels and some structural steel in place and nothing else, there still isn't even a floor to walk on in that building for the second and third floors so it is really just a skeleton currently.

Lol yeah I'd say. Probably worth emailing the city about that while it's still possible to replant it while it's small.

They’re probably OK with it, although they will severely prune the tree in the future.
But yeah, it’s a silly place to put a tree. Put it beside the hydro line, not directly under it.

Depends on how big the tree gets. There's plenty of smaller trees that require minimal pruning to stay low.

The pruning isn't a big issue, it's the roots that will wrap around the base of the pole over the years. That causes them to begin tilting which can become a much bigger issue and costlier to completely remedy, as opposed to just moving the tree while it's still young.
