There were comments from an interview in the article, though.

I don't think panamaniac was saying we didn't want to read the article, just that "isn't it great that WRC is way ahead of everyone else" kind of thing.  I for one read all the articles you link, and that's pretty much the only time I'm ever on the record's website!

The Record "journalists" prey on WRC, Reddit, Twitter and other social media websites for content these days. They're aiming to reduce the number of local journalists to something like 6 to 8 once they close their offices. Can't remember the exact number, but it was very low...soon enough they'll be replying to posts with the usual "Hey! I work for The Record! Did you take this photo? Do you give permission to Torstar Corporation to use this photo in perpetuity across all platforms? We'll link to you!"

I'm surprised that hasn't happened already

Revised plan lowers one building, adds courtyard green space to proposed Ottawa Street development in Kitchener

Shouldn't have needed to drop any height to appease the NIMBYs but not surprising

I'm pretty happy with how it looks, though. No masterpiece, but I'm happy to see more white cladding and less black for a change.

Honestly it's the type of modernist design I do a lot of my work in. It's not bad. I guess we'll have to see how it looks when it's done.

Looks pretty good! But uh, maybe a petition to stop allowing architects to put green dangling plants on every balcony in our decidedly non-tropical Ontario climate.

Haha...many buildings do that successfully but not so much in condos or apartments where they are dependent on individual residents to take care of them. Office buildings or well kept residential buildings can do it successfully. Though, yeah, not tropical plants.

Ha! True!

Anyways, I like the ground floor walkouts. Nice touch.

15 three bedroom live/works is a nice surprise. Thank you NIMBYs?

This looks pretty good. I'll be happy when we move on from the "white & black" phase in exterior design. Plenty of older brick buildings are being painted white with black trim. It certainly gives everything a stark appearance.
