Maybe, but there are a lot of costs on a construction project of this size. The crane might be a relatively minor cost by comparison. Sort of like the “tent” for the King St. railway bridge — seems awfully expensive when one looks at just the price of the tent structure, but apparently was well worth it overall. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - ZEBuilder - 09-27-2019 It looks like I was both wrong because the crane base is on the slab that is yet to be poured. I Don't see another crane base for the slab that is already poured. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - Acitta - 09-28-2019 Charles St. this morning. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - LesPio - 09-28-2019 Steady stream of cement trucks from 5:00am this morning until at least 3:00pm, if not longer. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - KevinL - 09-28-2019 They picked the right weather for it too - concrete cures best out of direct sun and when it's a bit damp. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - jeffster - 09-28-2019 Funny, the exact thing was going on at the new apartment on Homer Watson today. With all the devices that fill in the cement (I have no idea the actual name) it looks like a giant spider as they were all in the same location pretty much. Some attention from the local taking their children to watch the activity. I was glad to see the parents taking their children outside and to watch how the world grows and expands in a city environment -- better than Nintendo any day. And to be honest, I have never seen anything like this before. I am wishing I would have asked my daughter to snap a picture...oh well. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - white_brian - 09-28-2019 My buddy operates the the large telescope conveyor truck that was parked on Charles. I have pics but am not able to post RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - BruceAshe - 09-28-2019 There was a bit of chaos in the neighbourhood today. Between the cement trucks blocking Cameron at times and Duke between Cameron and Cedar being closed for a place making project. Some pretty frustrated drivers. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - ZEBuilder - 10-09-2019 They took one of the mobile cranes away looks like the tower crane is coming soon. RE: Drewlo Downtown project | 22 & 18 fl | U/C - tomh009 - 10-09-2019 One or two? In the second picture, is that not the crane tower base? The blue square near the concrete pumper on Cameron? I walked by here today, could not find a crane base for the Madison tower. |
