RE: General Road and Highway Discussion - nms - 06-15-2026 Drivers along rural roads have increased their speeds despite the posted limits not having changed in 30 years. I'm frequentlly tailgated any time I dare to drive less than 10% over the posted speed limit. I can imagine that as speeds have increased, it's difficult for other drivers to anticipate what the other traffic is doing. I don’t know about here, but where I’m from a lot of the issues are that most of the rural roads were gravel and are now tar and chip and the speed you can drive easily has increased significantly. |
