RE: Made in Waterloo Region - panamaniac - 07-18-2015 Sometimes, it's hard to know whether a company still manufactures in town. One example for me would be MTD in Kitchener. At one time they made lawn mowers and snowblowers but I don't know whether they still make them here or are just a distribution centre. The MTD plant on Kent Avenue closed back in 2007. I believe all they do now is distribution and parts there.

Once upon a time, most of the clothing/footwear places in town had an outlet where you could buy seconds at a discount, but that seems to have pretty much disappeared.
