Yes ... one floor in one month. Even if it is admittedly a pretty big floor plate, that's still going quite slowly.

I think they've been affected by shutdowns, only residential construction was deemed essential. They were probably just getting back up to speed after the January shutdown when the early April shutdown happened.

Even if the main contractor is paused I'd expect lots of sub contractors are doing residential projects too, so they probably reschedule everything and it's a pain to get going again post-shutdown.

They are working right now though. I was driving by yesterday and the crane here was moving.

The rules say:
Quote:Construction

Which I'd certainly interpret to mean this should be closed, but there's lots of exceptions. They do have the exception for:
Quote:are necessary to temporarily close construction sites that have paused, or that are not active, to ensure ongoing public safety


So maybe they could argue they're just closing up the site? There's also exceptions around "operating and delivery of IT services" but I think that means datacenters not offices.

I believe you they're operating, but I'd guess it's at least at heavily reduced capacity compared to normal? I don't really know though.

The parking garage is about to get started for this project. Permit 21-104909 at 2 Stewart St is currently pending, and you can see the outline in the GIS.

Yeah the lot is now fully fenced off and looks like they are set to start.
