RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - KevinL - 10-19-2019 Probably the specialised delivery of a particular item that needs extra clearance. Just a guess, mind you. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - BruceAshe - 10-21-2019 Not sure what's happening here today, but Frederick is closed between Duke and Weber. Plus there is a line of trucks down Duke to Scott and some on Frederick as well. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - Rainrider22 - 10-21-2019 They ate tying in the water and sewage which is why they took down some of the hoarding RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - Spokes - 10-21-2019 Hopefully not a long closure RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - jgsz - 10-21-2019 (10-21-2019, 11:31 AM)Rainrider22 Wrote: They ate tying in the water and sewage which is why they took down some of the hoarding That’s what it looks like. Frederick is closed but only a small area was dug up. They’re digging deeper close to the work site. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - jgsz - 10-23-2019 2019-10-23 Does anyone know what that tall white object is for? Sewage and/or water? It was erected on Monday when they started to dig up parts of Frederick. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - dirk967 - 10-23-2019 It's a placing boom. Crane like structure to pump concrete instead of using a bucket. Pump will sit on the street and go through piping up the building. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - ac3r - 10-25-2019 Is there any specifics on the height of this building (in meters/feet) or at least an estimate? I tried to look but 46 pages is a lot to go through. The Duke Tower building is really going to dominate the skyline for quite a while. I wish kitchener could get Rotterdam quality buildings. Having said that the dtk will still have a significant presence on the skyline. Just wish it was of a bit better design.(10-25-2019, 07:56 PM)Square Wrote: According to this link 128 meters. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - jgsz - 10-30-2019 Just noticed the ramp to the parking areas. Cars come in off Frederick Street and head towards the church to the ramp. You can also see the ramp going up by Duke Street. RE: Duke Tower Kitchener | 39 fl | U/C - dirk967 - 10-30-2019 (10-30-2019, 12:35 PM)jgsz Wrote: Just noticed the ramp to the parking areas.
