Waterloo Region reporting has a two-day lag (Saturday data) instead of the usual one day (Sunday data). Six new cases in the last two days, or three per day. The new case increase was 0.2% of the total cases to date and 6.8% of the current active caseload. New cases averaging 7.8% of actives over the past seven days. Active cases in the region were down to 42 (-10), and down by seven in the past seven days.
Testing data is due out tomorrow.
Ontario reported 119 new cases today, with a seven-day average of 151 new cases. 102 recoveries and no deaths translated to a increase of 16 active cases, so up to 1,574, after a weekly total change of +100. 24,664 tests for a 0.5% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging 0.59% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.3% of the total and 7.6% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 9.8% of actives over the past seven days.
The ICU population is up to 30 (+1).
- 40 cases in Windsor-Essex: 22.2 per 100K population
- 28 cases in Ottawa: 2.8 per 100K population
- 20 cases in Toronto: 0.8 per 100K population
- 0 cases (!) in Waterloo: 0.0 per 100K population
Is that really a zero for Waterloo? Did that break the Waterloo Region's reporting system? And Peel is off the list now, with only four cases reported today.

New cases averaging 5.3% of actives over the past seven days. Active cases in the region were down to 41 (-1), and down by 12 in the past seven days.
An average of 650 people per day tested over the last four days, and 544/day for the past week. Positivity rate averaging 0.56% for the past week.
Ontario reported 111 new cases today, with a seven-day average of 138 new cases. 106 recoveries and four deaths translated to a increase of one active case, so up to 1,575, after a weekly total change of -9. 17,334 tests for a 0.6% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging 0.55% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.3% of the total and 7.0% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.9% of actives over the past seven days.
The ICU population is up to 31 (+1).
- 25 cases in Ottawa: 2.5 per 100K population
- 22 cases in Windsor-Essex: 12.2 per 100K population
- 0 cases in Waterloo: 0.0 per 100K population
Toronto is off the list with only six new cases today. All eyes are on Windsor and the nation's capital.

Ontario reported 76 new cases today*, a solid new low, with a seven-day average of 126 new cases. 174 recoveries and one death translated to a decrease of 99 active cases, so we're now at 1,476, after a weekly total change of -64. 27,308 tests for a 0.3% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging 0.50% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.2% of the total and 5.1% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.1% of actives over the past seven days.
Five days of solid decreases after the spike to 150-200 range. Back on track? Let's see how things look after the weekend.
The ICU population is down to 28 (-3). Total hospital population numbers are a bit bouncy but I think we are now solidly into the 90s, a 50% drop this month.

Toronto added 11, but took off 24. Not sure if that 24 was reassigned to other areas on today's report or not.

The ICU population is down to 27 (-1).
