RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - jgsz - 03-13-2015 It's always such a treat to see your photographs, Matt. Keep them coming. RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - Drake - 03-13-2015 Lens, I hope you get to take some dramatic shots of Scheider's before that location gets razed. RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - Lens - 03-15-2015 Thank you jgsz! Drake: I'm hoping to get a tour once it's mostly stripped down inside. RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - Markster - 04-21-2015 The sky was looking lovely and ominous this morning. Also, my office building has quite a view of the Northdale cranes. RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - rangersfan - 04-21-2015 Nice shot Markster, really captures the amount of change under way in Waterloo right now. RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - BuildingScout - 04-21-2015 I mentioned before the past obsession of Waterloo City Council from preventing any reasonable development near the universities, while completely ignoring the much more visible destruction of Uptown. Here's a picture from Uptown taken from the web. It's dated 1988 there, but I think the correct date might be a bit later. According to the Record, this picture was 1998. https://www.facebook.com/waterlooregionrecord/photos/a.187373141292827.54068.164238703606271/1006292382734228/?type=1&fref=nf&pnref=story RE: Post your pictures of Waterloo Region! - BuildingScout - 04-22-2015 Yes, that's what I thought. Notice the parking lot along King St, the same place where we have regulations forbidding more than three stories in height because I-don't-know-why, yet a parking lot along the main stretch of King St on the other hand is readily allowed. |
