Perhaps someone with access to "Unlimited" can post the gist of this article.

Some background on why this could be a very big deal for the region: Handset maker Huawei to create 325 jobs at Ontario operations
Quote:Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., continuing its efforts to polish its reputation in Canada, is announcing plans to invest $210-million in its Ontario operations and create 325 new jobs over the next five years...

It has offices in five Canadian cities, including its Markham, Ont., headquarters, and employs 550 Canadian workers with more than 95 per cent in Ontario. It says it will use the new funding to hire 250 more engineers and researchers and 75 additional employees in sales, marketing and support, all in Ontario. Huawei has 150,000 employees worldwide.

This is pretty exciting news.

I was able to glean this from the page:

Quote:China’s Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., one of the world’s largest telecommunications equipment companies, is opening up an office in BlackBerry Ltd.’s hometown of Kitchener-Waterloo – and hiring former employees of the struggling Canadian tech firm to help it beef up on mobile security.

Huawei, which is based in Shenzhen and sells everything from mobile phones and tablets to routers and cellular antennas, is looking to hire engineers in Kitchener, Ont., the heart of Ontario’s technology-hub.

It doesn't really say anything beyond what the headline already provides.
