Apparently not all that many rational people around, then. After over 2M reservations, Tesla has sold fewer than 50,000. And there is no waiting list any more.

Although I love Elon I just cannot see myself in a Tesla, or any other EV for that matter

Some of those "rational people" burned to death because they couldn't open the doors to get out and first responders couldn't break the windows.

Speaking of electric vehicles, a company called Donut Lab has announced World’s First All-Solid-State Battery In Production Vehicles: 400 Wh/kg. Full charge in five minutes. Designed for 100,000 cycles.
Lower cost than lithium-ion. They also have a line of electric wheels that can used for anything from a motorcycle to a tractor trailer and powered by their new batteries.

Interesting ... it seems the actual battery tech is from Nordic Nano. Both companies are based in Finland. Being demonstrated at CES now with Verge Motorcycles (Finland) and WATT Electric Vehicles (UK).

Looking forward to further details.

Looking at the chatter on Reddit and YouTube, there is a lot of skepticism, with many people thinking that it must be a scam.

I mean, 5 minutes to full charge does sound too good to be true, doesn't it?
