Apparently not all that many rational people around, then. After over 2M reservations, Tesla has sold fewer than 50,000. And there is no waiting list any more.

Speaking of electric vehicles, a company called Donut Lab has announced World’s First All-Solid-State Battery In Production Vehicles: 400 Wh/kg. Full charge in five minutes. Designed for 100,000 cycles.
Lower cost than lithium-ion. They also have a line of electric wheels that can used for anything from a motorcycle to a tractor trailer and powered by their new batteries.

Interesting ... it seems the actual battery tech is from Nordic Nano. Both companies are based in Finland. Being demonstrated at CES now with Verge Motorcycles (Finland) and WATT Electric Vehicles (UK). Looking forward to further details.

I mean, 5 minutes to full charge does sound too good to be true, doesn't it? |
