Popeye's goes through me like it was shot out of a cannon. No thanks.

My mistake - it's Prime Pita, not Pita Pit.

San Francisco Panini finally opening in mid-September -- they received their permits from the city just on Friday.

Apparently they (San Francisco Panini) will have 100+ seats and a liquor licence. I was a little bit surprised, but it seems that they have a lot of space in the back, behind the other retail units in the building.

The floors are in, overall the space looks in good shape, but needs restaurant equipment and furnishings. A bit strange that the Prime Pita sign still says "franchise available". Will they operate it as a company-owned location until a franchisee is signed up? http://primepita.ca/franchising/new-franchise/

Something new for King & University in Waterloo. Based on the Business Name listed on the liquor application I believe it will be this franchise: http://www.theboilbar.com/

That's going to be one big sandwich shop.

In spite of the name, their proposed menu looks to be much more extensive. Casual Italian, maybe, with the liquor licence to boot.
