Waterloo Region reported 20 new cases for today (6.9% of the active cases) and one more for yesterday for a total of 32; 216 new cases for the week (-4), averaging 9.6% of active cases. 276 active cases, -66 in the last seven days.

1,248 vaccine doses delivered between Friday and Sunday, with a seven-day average of 1,550. At this pace, the dose count will reach 70% of the regional population on 2021-11-18 (-11 days since Friday's report). Friday was the first day with over 2,000 doses delivered (2,041, to be precise).

Ontario reported 1,699 new cases today with a seven-day average of 1,600 (+62). 1,175 recoveries and three deaths translated to an increase of 521 active cases and a new total of 14,751. +2,223 active cases for the week and 82 deaths (12 per day). 31,089 tests for a positivity rate of 5.46%. Other vaccination location options are quietly ramping up. Our doctors office is preparing to be a vaccination clinic. Pharmacies will also be online soon as well.

I was hoping that I could have registered through the Ontario portal for my mother, who is over 80. I (pre)registered her a while back with the ROW site, but still haven't heard anything. The site itself was kind of a hot mess.

I am a volunteer at the Public Health run vaccination clinics (Boardwalk and RONA), so I have some inside info.  If you selected PHONE CALL as your preferred method of contact, go back in and change to text or email.  [If she doesn't use either, use your contact info].  The Region has a huge backlog of making phone contacts, whereas text and email notifications are automatic, and will come thru in a few days.  [The website states landline clients will be contacted in 4 to 6 weeks]

After my registration, it took two days to get my access code, and I had an appointment booked at GRH a few days later.

My mom and my in-laws both registered online (70+) last week, and already have appointments.  

Our local vaccination numbers should ramp up this week as RONA opened yesterday (soft opening, it will ramp up capacity through the week), and the Boardwalk location is moving across the hall to go from 7 vaccination stations to 10.

There's also a clinic at the school of pharmacy, right at King/Victoria. I'm pretty sure that you get a choice of where you go though (within Waterloo Region).

An average of 1,471 daily tests for the past week, with a positivity rate of 2.16%.

1,889 vaccine doses delivered, with a seven-day average of 1,577. At this pace, the dose count will reach 70% of the regional population on 2021-11-13 (-5 days).

This is correct.. you choose what location is most convenient for you.

I believe the taxi companies were offering free rides to the 80+ crowd, I'm not sure if that will be an ongoing practice or not.
