If a lack of parkland is an issue, that issue will exist whether they build the towers or not since it will just remain a strip mall. Besides, there is a park a 10 minute walk down the street and this thing called the Grand River.

I'll also take a good guess that almost nobody saying "we need more park space first!" uttered a single word to the City of Kitchener requesting more of it in all the time they've lived there, until these towers were proposed that is.

So much for designating rapid transit nodes as primed for high density development I guess. Obviously the LRT is a long way out, but we developed the whole PARTS thing for a reason (no PARTS research was done for this future station, but it would inevitably be done anyway with the same conclusions...especially since this is just a gross traffic infested, big box store zone).
