Hello All,
This is the May 2024 update of the Development Map:

I've finally gotten around to adding over 80 buildings which were submitted by WRC users. Special thanks to @ZEBuilder, @Bravado and @Bytor for their contributions. An archive of these contributions is found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1...sp=sharing.

The addition of these buildings means we now have development coverage in Cambridge and in the suburbs! There are over 550 Buildings in the overall db.

Lots of people have been interested in analysing empty parking lots, and other non-optimal uses of land in the region.  I've used Openstreetmap's api, to automatically create a layer for this info in the region. (Note the full layer is too large for Google mymaps, and Ive added as much data as I can to the map (full layer available upon request))

I have experimented with Microsoft's 3D Map Maker to create simple 3D skylines directly from the database - This is a slideshow of some of the views across the region.  https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1...sp=sharing

Next steps:

- I'm continuing to add more projects in Cambridge and the suburbs
- I'm adding a layer of local transit routes and route-by-route ridership stats. 
- I am working with @ZEBuilder to create a 3D interactive map similar to https://precondo.ca/3d-model-toronto/
