I'm having a hard time determining what point you're trying to make. Are you saying that you don't want DTK to improve itself by making it nicer and more hospitable for families? Or are you saying you disagree with the concept of having a family in general?

Despite the many anecdotes provided by you and others, DTK is actually quite safe when compared to other downtowns in other cities in Canada. If we wanted to compare DTK's safety to cities in other countries, the gap widens. Are you saying that people should stop having families in all of those countries, too?

Now, if you'd prefer to raise kids in the suburbs or in a rural setting, that's totally fine. But it's distasteful to judge others for wanting to raise their kids in a different setting than what you think is desirable.
