The picture below is from a few days ago, but I noticed a lot of bus stops like this while out for a walk today. They're basically just driving the plow on an angle, removing snow from maybe 1/3rd of the stop and then leaving the rest. If this is all they're doing, they might as well just save our tax dollars and do nothing. What a joke.
I had to go to Freeport for a medical appointment on Thursday. I took a taxi there, since the sidewalk to the bus stop was impassible. I took the GRT home. The sidewalks at the Fairway bus terminal were not cleared, forcing me to walk on the road with my walker to get to the ION. I got off the ION at Kitchener Market Station and had to get over a mound of snow to get onto the bus. My stop on Stirling was cleared, but I fell trying to get over the snow at the corner of Mill. If it wasn't for my medical appointment, I would have stayed home.
