Vive Development's appeal on the entirety of Growing Together West has been dropped and is now only focusing on specific properties that Vive is involved in. Growing Together West is now fully in effect meaning the antiquated 85-1 zoning throughout downtown is no more. Growing Together East still needs to pass at council (it's passed at committee but needs final council approval), at which point there will be 20 days where it can be appealed. If no one does Growing Together East and West will both be in effect.
"THE TRIBUNAL ORDERS THAT By-law 2024-065 of the City of Kitchener save and except for the provision of said by-law being relating to 698, 704 and 710 Charles Street East and 79 Weber Street East, being the appealed portions, shall be deemed to have come into force on March 18, 2024."
