Inclusionary Zoning

Inclusionary zoning sounds great! Private developers being coerced into not only building for the rich, but also for the poor. And for the whites, browns and blacks. Maybe the yellows, too! Heck the rainbow folk might even get a few crosswalks painted in rainbow flags if money is left over. One for the cripples, the deaf, the blind and the dumb if we're lucky. Because it makes a lot of sense to push these obligations on private enterprise, rather than the government. Because then if it all falls apart, you know exactly who to blame - not the politician that came into office with promises of utopia - but those greedy developers. I can't see why this would not work.
