No, this is the development concept of value engineering at full display. If this does get cladding ontop of the precast I would be entirely amazed because that doesn't happen.
There is no way this gets a cladding on the precast. At best they may choose to paint it, but I wouldn't count on it. I will state again, Precast is not the issue here, it is the fact that they clearly chose the cheapest version of precast (standard shape Grey and White) there are some great precast sandwich panel building built all over the world. Mostly in Europe. But it is a race to the bottom in terms of style and execution in Waterloo region.
I knew the instant Auburn was involved in the site that it would look like shit. Look at what happened to barrel yards.
