Some marketing a friend of mine posted to facebook:

I've always found the layout of those units really weird. Lack of natural light in spaces like the kitchen, a super tight living room that is hard to configure, etc... not the best when they are meant to be occupied by not only students at some point.

A lot of the apartment buildings I've lived in are like this.  The priority is getting natural light in the living space and bedroom(s), and the kitchen is the loser in that situation.
