ION - Waterloo Region's Light Rail Transit
Just thinking more about the situation at he OMSF today. The derail device was clamped on the tracks just north of Northfield, which would prevent them from moving the LRV, parked at the siding about 1km North. There were four vehicles from different agencies parked at the LRV.

What I wonder: normally, the derail device is placed here for the weekend, along with one just South of Waterloo Town Square. So, what if someone threw this on, as normal, after last night’s train, not knowing that it would hamper an LRV offloading today?

If so, they’ll need to track down who has the key to remove it. If an offloading doesn’t happen later today (ie, now), perhaps they’ll try and do it on OT tomorrow? Or, wait for next week?
