Also noticed was the new building across the street in front of Cineplex.
The WRX Property Group made the following information available on their December 12, 2018 blog:
"Cadillac Fairview (the owner of Fairview Park Mall, as well as the large lots around the mall and on the other side of Fairway Road South, where Cineplex, Indigo, and Party City stand) has plans in place to add 266,615 square feet of retail and office space, and a brand new parking garage with surface, deck, and underground capabilities, and electric charge stations."
The parking garage on the east side of Fairview Road may have some ground level retail or services. The parking garage appears to be in front of the Cineplex. The Grand Market District parking garage may well be pay parking before the mall opens as the LRT is so close.. By example, if you go to some CF malls they have gates with no entry until the mall opens with security on the gates before opening.
There is a mention of the nonexistent but planned (?) apartments/condos.
"Aside from the parking garage, there will be two major additions: a four-storey building in the west, in the old Sears Hardware Store’s location, which will have 65,960 square feet of space; and a five-storey building in the east, nearer to the Conestoga Parkway, which will have 200,655 square feet of space."
