Waterloo Region reported only one new cases today; the new case increase was 0.1% of the total cases to date and 1.2% of the current active caseload. Active cases in the region were down by 10 to 85, and down 9 in the past seven days, from 94 to 85.
No testing data reported today, either, for the region.
Ontario reported an average of 151 new cases the past two days, for a seven-day average of 166 new cases. An average of 193 recoveries for those two days, and only four deaths per day translated to an average decrease of 46 active cases, which are now back under 2,000, at 1,960, and a weekly total change of -76. An average of 25,189 tests for the past two days for a 0.6% positivity rate. The positivity rate is averaging just 0.7% for the past seven days.
The new cases are 0.4% of the total and 7.6% of the number of active cases. New cases averaging 8.4% of actives over the past seven days.
Incomplete overall hospital admission data today but the ICU population has dropped further to 40 (-2).
