Wow. It's surprising they released the source code for this. If someone who knows how to read Android source code can verify what is being sent back, I probably won't have an issue installing it (And before people say "But you use Android", yes I know...)
I haven't reviewed the source, but Apple and Google have both said they will only be approving one contact tracing app per country, and it must not use location data (just the Bluetooth tracing API). So provided you're installing from App Store/Google Play you should be pretty safe, especially given there's no guarantee anyways that the binary in the store matches the published source.
