Quote:CAMBRIDGE – There will be more than just tulips pushing up through the snow this spring in Galt as The Grand condominium at Waterscape begins to take form.
It’s the second highrise condominium tower being built by The Haastown Group at the confluence of Ainslie and Water streets, overlooking the Grand River. When completed during the summer of 2015, the new luxury $30 million condominium will stand 11 storeys tall with about 106 apartment units.
“We already have the financing in place,” Paul de Haas, Haastown president, explained.
Getting all the approvals in place for The Grand has been a walk in the park compared with the painstaking seven-year process it took to complete Waterscape.
“This time things went much smoother because we went through all the necessary approvals with Waterscape,” he said.
The Grand will be built just south of Waterscape, sharing a common terrace, and feature underground parking.
Rob Gazzola, Haastown’s senior development manager, said the presale of units in new development have gone well and to his surprise there was a recent surge of interest in the project.
