All purpose built rentals?

This area has by in large been a success. Thoughts?

Yes. That is Auburn's business model.

It has been a success, but the buildings have become uglier and uglier as the phases progress. The first building is actually not bad looking, but then they just stopped trying. and went with as much grey/ beige EIFS/precast as they could fit in a rectangle building.

I also hate that they are allowed to hang a giant baner down the building letting people know rentals available. It makes the buildings look even more trashy

I'm a little surprised they're doing a second hotel

Since they have been operating the Delta for a while now--almost 10 years--I assume they have sufficient data on hotel room demand. I didn't expect this either, though!

There is no second hotel in the plans, it is only 3 residential buildings, with a tiny amount of ground floor commercial in the buildings fronting Father David Bauer.

The next hotel in Waterloo is a proposed Hyatt on the University of Waterloo North Campus. I think Waterloo is still at a net loss of hotels that have disappeared in the last decade (eg the Waterloo Hotel, the Waterloo Inn, the Comfort Inn (?) on Weber).

Yea, instead of actual images, they should do artistic designs of barrels and wheat in the style of that one building near downtown everyone loves with the circles(im blanking on the name)
