Sorry Canard. I was just mocking the stupid article comparing the LRT to the UPX and replying to your comment that it will all work.
I'm not as confident as you are about the success of the LRT, but I'm cautiously optimistic and think it's important to try.

Toronto is only 2 streetcars behind where they should be now, which isn't awesome but I think BBD might start getting their stuff together.

Behind where they should be according to the revised revised revised delivery schedule. According to the original schedule, they are way behind (by dozens of vehicles).

The Dome has officially been covered! The northernmost lane of Victoria was also blocked off again this morning. More dump trucks to haul away dirt?
Also, do we know if the footings of the dome will have any use in the final span? Would they possibly be the "walls" of the span, and they are waiting to pour the bed the connects them? I have no idea if the footings were even sitting on the bridge foundation they created last summer or not.

I can't imagine that they're going to be used in the final product. They looked very utilitarian and single-purpose.

The pictures seemed to suggest the footings are just concrete blocks on a pile of dirt.

Well that explains it, I did think it was a really fast recovery they made from being so far behind.

Yes, but remember, that doesn't automatically mean our first LRV is months behind. We don't know the Gantt chart and where our builds are being slotted in relative to Toronto's order. It doesn't extrapolate like that.

Oh yeah I'm not too worried that we're ginna get our trains in time for opening day. I assumed some of Toronto's problems come from the customization of their streetcars.

Up at the OMSF this morning, crews were busy (again!) re-aligning the existing freight track. I wonder why they are moving it so much; this is about the 5th or 6th time it's been shuffled around up there.
Looking North from Albert McCormic Arena, toward the OMSF. The catpoles start here, heading South.
Future Waterloo Park/Seagram/Laurier stop.
Heading South, through Waterloo Park.

Is there a copy or a video of the presentation given at the Confederation Club meeting? I don't see a copy on the Confederation Club website or the region's.
Everyone move to the back of the bus and we all get home faster.
